Tagline: She's been locked away since January, now she wants revenge.
We made this video to bring a little Christmas cheer to friends, family and anyone with internet access.
Actress Rachel Bright looking about as angelic as you can with your face sticking out of a piece of hardboard
I started it all by recording a demo for the song at Abbey Road (Lite), located in my home where I laid the basic track down. Went off, made some tea, listened to it, thought it was still funny so started thinking about the visuals.

I toyed with the idea of doing it as a proper film because I just got hold of a wedding dress for another short film and I thought I might be able to use it for the angel. But in the end I decided I would keep to the style I used with another video Christmas card I made a year or two ago called 'Little Donkey'.
I worked it all out in a quick
sketch.
You'll notice I had planned to have a cat
sitting by the fire in the scene. I was looking forward to
playing the catman, but I went off the idea after when I
started doing the painting. I hope they never combine human
and animal DNA, but deep down I know they already have.
I picked up a few big old sheets of hardboard, slapped some
primer on there and got sketching out the scenes. When
Michelangelo was painting the sistine chapel ceiling the
Pope would come along every day and tell him to stop
painting and to get out of his capel before he called the
police, but he didn't and thank God he didn't. I felt much
the same way when people would come over and complain that
there was no where to sit with all my paintings in the way,
but I ignored them and thank God I did.

At the end the cat was going to end up on the girls lap. But best to keep things simple I always say.
For the line in the song about waving I painted the hands for the angel but thought it would be funnier to have the bloke just wave through the hole, plus I couldn't be bothered to painting another man for a two second shot, so please forgive my laziness.

It took quite a while to do the paintings, I could have painted it really bold and quick, or do some of that terrible vector style drawings that get churned out everywhere. But I thought it would be nicer to take my time and get that warm Christmas card look.

Just noticed I havent signed any of these paintings, anyone could claim credit for my work! How shocking. I wonder if I'd be able to sell them on ebay? I expect I'd make more on the postage.

Simon Duckworth recorded his cool
guitar part himself, because the man has more musical
skill in his little finger then I will ever have. In
fact he played the whole thing with just his little
finger, just to show off.
And then all I had to do was edit it all together and there
isn't a picture of that, because it doesn't
exist.
