Temperamental student film makers, Mark Jackson and Duncan Cowan, are setting out to make a documentary about a large and deadly black panther, seen stalking a small village deep in the English countryside.

On their way they will interview 'surviviors of the cat, and then go out with a local woodsman to track down the beast, all in the name of cinema.



The two directors with their cast and crew in tow are being shadowed by BBC cameraman Johnnie Oddball who is making a fly on the wall documentary of the self-destructive auteurs.

We are introduced to director Duncan, a man on a mission to make the greatest horror/documentary hybrid of all time. And his semi-friend and co-director Mark who is just weird.
